A Post Take-Over Shout Out!!
So, last weekend Mark and I spent three days up to our knees in madness. Why? Because that is what we do. We conspire. We write. We control our own world, and let me tell you we had one hell of a book release. None the less...
Now before we go ANY FURTHER, can I just point out how ridiculous the placement of Facebook for Android's DUPLICATE BUTTON is? Right above the home button, which means one wrong click and you now have two events. Or three, in our case. Like, who decided it was a good idea to have it hovering there like that? But, the cool thing about #Indies, is that we always work together to figure it out. Yes we had three events and yes, there was confusion. The first day went great and we had over 130 guests, then I noticed another copy of our event... Geez! We tried to delete one of them and everything hit the fan. We had people posting on both feeds, now unable to comment or even find the event. It was hectic, but those who'd come to help at the event banned together and we got shit done. NOTE TO SELF: When hosting a takeover, do it from a laptop or a home computer if you can, they don't seem to have a duplicate button to annoy the hell out of you.
Whether the duplicate button was put there to purposely annoy us, or keep our event from succeeding, who knows? What came next was what really mattered. We worked, together, to get the job done and I met some pretty wicked people along the way. Crisis averted, for now at least. There have been no major complaints and our book release went off with, okay, a few glitches. #LiveandLearn #WeSurvived Feel free to download the image above if you survived the Illusions Book Release! You totally deserve it! Anyhow, and moving on... I mentioned we had some pretty wicked people at our event, and I can't remember ALL their names, but I did make intros for them! They're totally out of order, but we had all these people and more, visiting and chatting with us, sharing what they do with all our fans. We can't thank you enough for coming out to join in our crazy adventure. Have a peek and see if you know any of them...

We got to take part in some pretty cool giveaways, and even hosted some of our own. We've made up some promos to share our winners with the world. We had a few no-shows, whether due to health or internet issues, so we let everyone join in and post their favorite Cover Designers, Publishers, P.A's, Editors and more. Met some great designers and checked out a variety of styles, learned that not all Editors are Evil and learned more about the world of P.A's! You guys totally rock!
We had so much fun meeting other people, and my to be read list has now tripled. The books, giveaways, funny memes and contests kept us all laughing all weekend long, but of course as all good things it had to come to an end. Poor Mark was exhausted. We all were. We worked hard to promote the release of Illusions of the Present and to say thank you to all who helped out, we want to send you some goodies; but we need your emails first. Not many people could handle being thrown across the Verse, but Mia could. She had, but when she'd finally made it home she found that life was not as she'd left it.
